Job Summary
Oversees the acquisition, installation, maintenance and proper
operation of the University computer based building management
system (BMS) controllers, software, and user interface(s).
Supervises & supports department operations of the University
computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Maintains
Facility Inspection records and coordinates Facility Inspection
Schedules. Provides status and operation reports for both the CMMS
and BMS.
Responsibilities
1. Provides guidance and support to Operations team-members in
utilizing best practices for the operation of the University's BMS
and CMMS software and programming.
2. Reviews current status of BMS and CMMS operations to provide
guidance or information to Operations team-members in solving
problems.
3. Schedules and performs routine updates and back-ups of the BMS
software and programming.
4. Ensures BMS user interface stays current with Facility remodels,
improvements and projects.
5. Coordinates with and supervises third party vendors servicing
the University's BMS and CMMS.
6. Provides initial and continuation training to personnel on
systems.
7. Maintains and updates CMMS Asset list and associated
preventative maintenance procedures.
8. Provides weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting on
systems.
9. Reviews BMS and CMMS status reports with Team leadership.
10. Maintains database and supporting documentation for Annual
Facility Inspections.
11. Coordinates Annual Facility Inspection schedule with
Department, University, and State of Utah Partners.
12. Attends required staff meetings.
13. Promotes collaborative and innovative work environment while
coordinating across reporting structure.

Minimum Qualifications
Five years of progressively more responsible experience in
industrial electronic repair and electronic and pneumatic
instrumentation or equivalency (one year of education can be
substituted for two years of related work experience); demonstrated
oral and written communications skills; previous supervisory
experience; demonstrated customer services skills; and oral and
written communications skills required.
