Utah Transit AuthorityJob SummaryThe position will support the
UTA Coordinated Mobility Department staff in the application,
award, and contracting processes for the FTA 5310 grant program and
other transportation assistance programs. Establish and maintain
positive and collaborative relationships with human services
agencies, transportation providers and local government
stakeholders. Assist in the management of federal funds granted to
human services agencies and local governments to provide
transportation services to seniors and individuals with
disabilities. Oversee and implement the FTA 5310 compliance program
for UTA 5310 subrecipients. Monitor subrecipients and provide risk
assessments for future eligibility for grant funding. Process
subrecipient invoices for payment. Manage other billing and
invoicing processes for 5310 subrecipient local obligations.
Provide grant process compliance support to subrecipients.
Responsible for data collection and assisting with federal reports.
Other duties as assigned.Minimum
QualificationsEDUCATION/TRAINING:BA/BS Degree in Urban Planning,
Social Sciences, business, public administration, communications,
English or related field required.EXPERIENCE: At least one (1) year
experience with grants management, funding applications and/or
proposals, federal compliance or related business
writingKnowledge:
- A basic understanding of statistical analysis; math and
accounting principlesSkills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Well-developed work organizational skills
- Intermediate level proficiency in Outlook, Word, and
PowerPoint
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel
- Basic math and budgeting skills.
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in Adobe Suite and graphic
design preferred.
- Understanding or experience with federal grant programs
required.
- Understanding or experience with the Americans with
Disabilities Act and other civil rights programs preferred.
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment with diverse
individuals and groups.
- Experience working with people with disabilities
preferred.
- Strong filing and organizational skills
- Detail oriented.Abilities:
- Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in
writing.
- Ability to summarize and compile information and data into a
logical, clear format
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated and disciplined.An understanding of local
transportation, human service transportation; including
transportation for seniors and individual with disabilities, and
project management, as well as project funding, financing and
budgeting preferred.- OR -An equivalent combination of relevant
