Job Description: The Ultrasound Technologist II provides
excellent customer service by performing ultrasound examinations
under the direction of a physician for identification of
abnormalities leading to patient diagnosis. Schedule: 7 days on / 7
days off (Wednesday to Wednesday) 9pm - 7am Key Responsibilities -
Maintain active ARDMS credentials and modality?specific
competencies - Verify patient identification and exam orders;
prepare patients for procedures - Perform ultrasound exams per
departmental protocols and evaluate images for quality and accuracy
- Complete exams within established timeframes while maintaining
high standards of care - Educate patients, ensure comfort, and
address questions or concerns - Assist in training and supporting
students and radiology technologists - Operate ultrasound equipment
and related systems proficiently - Follow infection control,
safety, sterile technique, and quality standards - Maintain
accurate documentation, image storage, and required time stamps -
Adhere to protocols for documentation, billing, consents, QC
programs, and equipment reporting Core Skills - Patient care and
safety - Advanced ultrasound knowledge and scanning proficiency -
Image evaluation and equipment operation - Anatomical knowledge -
Effective communication - Organization and task prioritization -
Independent and team?based work - Emergency response - Computer
literacy Qualifications - Must have completed a minimum of two
additional years of experience relevant to the department post
obtaining Ultrasound Tech I. (Primary Children’s one of the two
years must be pediatric experience) - American Registry for
Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) Registry - Successful
completion of one additional registry pertinent to the department
beyond Ultrasound Technologist I or (SPI 2 registries). Options
include Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN), abdominal, neuro,
breast, pediatric, Vascular, or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac
Sonographer (RDCS). (Primary Children’s one of the two registries
must be pediatric) - Health Services/BCLS - Basic life support
(Certification for Healthcare Providers) Preferred Qualifications -
Additional experience - Additional registries - Vascular experience
- Xray experience/certification Physical Requirements - Ongoing
need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess
patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies. -
Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and
visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as
hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues
quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations. -
Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and
delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes
frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care,
accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc. -
Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer
patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and
equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and
including heavy items. - Need to walk and assist with
transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing
supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and
portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to
navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on
the floor, etc.) - May be expected to stand in a stationary
position for an extended period of time. Location: Intermountain

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 35 The hourly range for this position is
listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience. $42.66
